Yemel Philharmonic Society:

The Yemel Philharmonic Society (YPS) was founded in 1998 by a group of people committed to sharing their passion for music with their community. The goal of the YPS is to bring performances of great classical music to its audiences, focusing especially on choral music. Under the leadership of maestro Sungsoon Kim who served as the artistic director from 1998 to 2014, the YPS has gained a reputation, through maintaining a permanent mixed-voice choir and producing two to three concerts each season, as one of the best ensembles of its kind in the Korean community in Canada. Since 2015, the YPS has accomplished the mission, with showcasing various musical, spiritual, and creative choral works, under the tutelage of composer and Music Director, Dr. Gideon Gee-Bum Kim.
