Peter Pinteric, clarinetist

Profile

Clarinetist Peter Pinteric is a founding member of the Toronto Messiaen Ensemble and is active as an orchestral and chamber musician in the Toronto area. In recent seasons he has performed with Symphony Nova Scotia and the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra as Principal Clarinet and substitute musician.

As a graduate of the University of Toronto, University of Minnesota and The Glenn Gould School of The Royal Conservatory of Music, Peter studied with Stephen Pierre, Burt Hara and Joaquin Valdepenas. He has attended the Aspen Music Festival and School as a scholarship and fellowship recipient and is an alumnus of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada. Peter also holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute for Studies in Education.

In his spare time, Peter enjoys watching documentaries and international soccer. His favourite teams are Arsenal and Real Madrid.
